Yesterday I went for a Power Yoga class. And I hurt my left knee. This is the knee that used to give me problems long time ago when I was in my teens. I do not know what happened and what had cause that tightness and pain. The knee looks normal but it seems to be that some muscles at the knee area got pulled or the tendon got pulled, I really do not know. All I know now is when I bend my left knee, there is a tightness and weakness and some pain at the muscles.
It was a pity though cos the class was excellent. I like the teacher alot. She is very good and very patient. In all the poses, she always asked us to listen to our body, respect our body. After each pose, she will ask us to listen to the body, find out which parts are sore or feeling tighness or compression. By doing this, we would know that in each pose, are we stressing on the wrong parts of the body? This has raised my awareness even more. What she said was so true!
She did 3 legged dog and cobra for the vinyasa for warming up. Poses she did were pigeon ( i suspect it is the pigeon that cause my knee to go kooky.. even though i have done it before manytimes.. it must be the positioning.. ), one legged bridge, wheel, dancer ( excellent! we used the strap to help us go up even futher… having fun with this one

Definitely want to go for her class next week!
Meanwhile, knee, please heal soon~! I love ya, and would not hurt ya anymore i promise!
So sad, I had to skip a class today… but no matter, what matters is that it does not get hurt anymore!
