Yes, David Life and Sharon Gannon was here in Singapore yesterday and today. I have signed up for their jivamukti workshop last October and was very excited. The workshop was held at Shambalah Yoga Centre. It was supposed to be held at elsewhere but last minute due to the limited number of people attending, Shambala decided to squeeze everyone into their yoga studio instead. And believe me, it was really close… I could not even do a proper side crow… oh well… om… As David and Sharon would say “Let go”…

David and Sharon are really quite a couple. They are individuals but yet a union of 2 souls, they look so good together. During each session, they began the workshop with good teachings. As Sharon says, “Let us embrace the power of love, not the love of power” during the very first day of workshop. Before they begin any class, David and Sharon would greet every one of us individually…even though it meant going thru the entire workshop of 40 people, it was really very nice and a very humble gesture.

Basically the workshops were more of a reminder to ourselves that we should love ourselves and all things around us. And how we dont take things too hard, learn to let go, banish negative thoughts and be a child at heart with a sense of adventure and treat everything we do with a sense of curiosity and knowing that we are very lucky being who we are.

What I learnt from the workshops was not of difficult poses etc, but more of David and Sharon’s look at life. They were humorous and they could describe life and the daily frustrations in a very imaginative way and everyone can relate to.
