Yesterday I went for a yin yoga class. It happened that the teacher asked us to do a yin headstand which means doing against the wall. Yes, after soooo 5 months of practicing yoga, i still cannot do headstand, well almost.
Yesterday while doing that yin yoga, I found my legs mysteriously lifting up, or more like floating up from the floor. It was amazing! Well to me, anyway. To other yogis out there, headstand to them must be like oh so easy…. i have a few friends who can stay like 5-10 minutes in that pose man
! Anyway back to my floaty legs. It floated and hovered as I try to feel my lower body and imagine what posiiton it is now. I am doing the traditional style as in what most indian yogis teach, walk your feet in and then bend kness and lift legs half way and hold there and then finally moving on to straighted the legs up after. Yes now I am at the bent knees… yikes… cannot feel the body though…
I hope in today’s class I can try out more headstands… I MUST CONQUER MY FEAR OF INVERSIONS!
