Backbends — woo!

Excellent class we had today. Notably today in class we did the nice “wild thing”, doing the free fall backwards to wheel pose and then back up to standing. What’s “wild thing”? It is pretty nifty… :)

1. Downward dog
2. raise right leg up to the sky in downward dog
3. bend the right leg, with the knee pointing to the sky
4. then drop the right foot to the floor, bringing the right hand up to the sky
5. then keeping your right arm close to your right ear, slowly open your chest and curl back and touch the right hand down to the floor, coming into a wheel
6. then slowly lift right arm up again and back down to the downward dog

it was so wild! Loads of fun doing that! hee hee… i even hit my head on the floor… ;P
