Yes, I love this ashtanga class by a great teacher Celeste. She is so inspiring and her instructions are ever so clear and ever so effective. Power from the pelvic region and power of the inner thighs are really emphasised by her and it really helped in those ashtang poses. Each time I go to her class, I find that I do improve alot when I really concentrate on those muscles.
Another plus point is that after her ashtanga class, I always feel energised and everything seems to be bright and clear. Hmmm… does everyone feel the same way? Even my best friend also says so.
Ok ok, it’s not that I got my headstand up ( well, almost, halfway anyway… now I can finally balance for a while with my knees bent )…
Yesterday, the teacher did the scorpion in handstand! Wow.. eye opener… but I did not attempt it unfortunately.
But it was interesting and such a inspiration to see someone doing it ( even though it was with support and help with a partner ). This is my goal ( aside from my headstand, arrgh… ) Ever since I saw that online in an advert, I was captivated and inspired by the image of it.
Yes, I think my wrist has finally gotten well. For 1-2 weeks my left wrist has been hurting while doing poses that involves weight on the wrist while bending like bridge pose. It all started with a harmless full bridge pose. Some how my wrist decided that my body weight was too much for it to bear… This is a clear indication of doing a pose without listening to your body.
I may have during the pose moved too much weight onto my left wrist and hence causing that pain that lasted so long. Indeed, a lesson learnt for me.
Yes, I went for Patrick’s Wild Lotus class again today. Again it was an excellent class. He really exudes that charisma, that positive energy that beams out and connect to everyone in the class. His sincerity and his fun side shone out and everyone in the class enjoyed the class tremedously!
Today he did not do any backbends or inversions, instead the class concentrated more on hip openings. At one point, I also felt that I could not close my hips… hahaha…
Yes, finally I have gotten a chance to attend Patrick’s class! Patrick? Who is Patrick? Oh he is just the director of the Hong Kong yoga centre that I am a member of here in Singapore.
This wildly infamous class of his which I missed for a number of times, as I have heard from my yoga buddies that his class is great and touted that his class is really tough. But they forgot to mention that his class is wildly fun too! Yes, tough… he asked us to do the toughest but interestingly fun stuff.
