hello Marilyn

Yes I do press my forearms down. I can feel most of my weight on my forearms and upper arms. I think my main problem is that I cannot feel the balancing.

I started with practicing without any walls. But now I do practice against the wall to try to stay up longer and try to find that balancing point.

By the way, thanks for the comment! You are my first commentor :)

Peace!

I came across your site and I feel your frustration about headstand. For a long time I was unable to do it and I couldn't understand why. I thought maybe weight had to do with it but I was wrong.

Basically, the more you press your forearms to the floor, the more balance and stable you will feel in the pose. Do you practice against the wall at all?
