I love attending this teacher’s class. She always emphasise after each pose to feel what your body is like, the difference, how does it feel. You will be surprised that your body can “talk” to you, feedback to you what it needs or what it is capable of. But of course you have to listen intently and respect your body.
Ah yes, today we did side plank. One of the many poses that I adore
However as usual, she added a little twist to the pose. Instead of just staying up, we had to stretch out with the upper arm and push the hip more up, and then lower the hip and bring the arm down. Up and down. It was very tiring and not easy at all ! I pride myself for being able to do a strong side plank but when it comes to this, I could not balance well and was struggling. Hmm… indeed it was a new challenging variation for me! I love that, to work on new fun and challenging pose. It is such a satisfying feeling that you will get when you finally master it.
And half moon. I love half moons…. so graceful and strong at the same time. Look simple to do but yet, it is downright tough. Love it.
From half moon, we moved to a half crane. Another wonderful graceful posture. Today I managed to hold one hand at the ankle finally!! It was really tough, took quite a bit of concentration, breathing and focus. The trick is to make the standing leg real strong and BREATHE.
A refreshing class! I really looked forward to attending more of her classes soon.
