This class rates on the top of my list as the toughest yoga class. I always call this class THE torture class. What are the yoga poses that we do? Here are a short summary of what was considered the medium level Torture class :
Cannot go for yoga today… due to work. Feeling frustrated especially when you are just sitting around to wait for others to get back to you on stuff… i think this is a good time to try to start meditating… om… had so much planned today… i want to go for yoga and forget about everything else.
Yesterday, the yoga teacher was talking about advanced yoga. She made a comment which strikes me : to be in presence is to forget your past experiences and your future expectation. if you did not think about the past experiences or have certain expectation on what is going to happen, you will not have fear in doing anything…as you will only focused on only now.
First of all, YEY! My yoga bud is back. So great to see her back in class!… but alas only for a day and then she is off for a short vacation again. Lucky girl!
Yep. “Vomit Muscles”… what exactly are those? Those muscles are the ones which you use when you… well, vomit! These are the same muscles which are just below the ribs, in fact when you vomit, you will feel the ribs being lifted as you vomit.
This is the current favourite sequence of one of my favourite yoga teachers. He has included this sequence in almost all of his classes. It is really very graceful and challenging at the same time.
1. Put your mat a few inches away from the wall. ( if you can do handstand without wall, you do not have to put the mat a few inches away from wall. ) Get a partner to help you.
2. Stand with feet apart across the long side of the mat with right foot towards the wall( front ). Triangle pose. Do a full triangle pose and stay for a breath or two.
