Another fun yoga sequence created by Teacher Hee Boon :
1. Go into Garudasana. Stay for several breaths.
2. Slowly unhook your leg ( without touching the floor ) and move the leg to the back. Go into a modified Virabhadrasana 3 or Warrior 3 T-posture with the hand still in entwined.
3. From there, again slowly with control, bend the standing leg and put the back leg down to the floor and heels off. Now you will be in a lunge with the back leg on the floor, heels off. Arms are still entwined and body is upright.
4. Then move into a baby backbend or backbend with the arms still in the same entwined position. Stay for a couple of breaths.
5. Next move back into upright body and then lift the back leg off the floor and flow back into the full Garudasana pose again ( if possible, without the leg touching the floor at all and in one motion )
6. Repeat for the other side.
Quite tough but fun and really engages your core if you want to do it well.
Woo! I think this was the best class yet for this week…. this is the inspiration that will get me going again!
