Wild thing what the ???
It’s just a cool fun way to coin this yoga sequence. Basically it is just being in downdog then lifting one leg (three legged down dog) and then flip over into a full wheel or upward bow ( urdhva dhanurasana )
Most people in the class agreed that the most difficult part is the positioning of the hands after you have move down into the pose. For me, I am still afraid of the touch down due to previous attempts that ended in bumps on the head twice. Back then my wrists and arms are really weak and often collapsed in that pose when I attempted the pose. Today I felt more in control and strong. Plus we had help from partners who are keeping us from falling by wrapping a towel across the waist.
After a long time without inversions ( almost a week I guess ), today we did handstands (wide legged against the wall, away from wall) and forearm balances (including a scorpion even!) with a vengence. I miss these type of classes. I betcha tomorrow I will be feeling those nice muscles in the abs especially those obliques!
OM~
today is a great day!
