The Light and Dark Of Yoga

Hmmm…

What do I mean?

Light of yoga is all the good things that yoga brings you.

Dark of yoga? The ugly side of yoga is the human nature that surfaces.

I am in a way blessed that I am not great at yoga. No jealousy, no “green eyed” by others, no talk behind my back.
Yes, when you are extremely good at yoga, even better that those who had already been practising for years, there are people who are insecure about themselves who will start bad mouthing you. For no reason and you never do anything to offend them. Some are even worst. They appear to be friendly with you with hugs and all, but behind your back, they talk bad about you. All these in the world of yoga right here.

How do you deal with such people?

I say… ignore them. ( easier said than done… )

Why this thought? Today after class, me and some friends was chatting with a yoga teacher. He mentioned he was saddened by the teaching yoga community in Singapore.
When I first got to know about yoga, I thought the yoga teachers must all be good in nature and all nice people. The stories I have heard are quite shocking and contrary to what I believed. But ah… they are still human afterall.
Live and let live… we cannot control them… Do what we best can in our circle of influence and be happy. :)
