I read with interest this particular blog about yoga. The author mentioned that there was a question by someone who asked why this yoga guru has died of heart attack at the age of 96. To this guy, if yoga is so good, then why this yoga guru has died of heart attack and not of natural death. Here is the original post :

This time round, I think I hurt my some inner thigh muscle on both legs. How? No idea…

Ego’s doing or my insensitivity to my own body?

Somehow when I do my Reverse Warrior, there is a tiny pull in the inner thigh muscle somewhere on the front leg. It is a sour delicate pain that swirl up along one strand of my thigh muscle. Go figure…

Yes! Today I had a minor breakthrough for my headstand. Managed to really balance for a slight 2 seconds ( … not 1 but 2, not 3 but 2… yes 2 seconds… )

Perhaps my headstand is coming to fruit soon.

What happened was I went for an Anusara 1 class where Bo had us do the headstand push ups. Meaning we go into headstand against the wall and then lift the head off the floor and back on the floor again for several times. I find that today my body is lighter and some how more light. Perhaps it is because my head is clear and more focus during class? Hence the push ups were not to difficult to do.

Remember my 2 seconds forearm balance? ( pincha mayurasana )

It’s still 2 seconds. Haha…

However I just had a class where Bo teaches us a technique to balance that is used by John Friend ( founder of Anusara yoga ) or from what John Friend do when he goes into handstand or forearm balance.

Everytime you kick up with one leg, make the leg that is going up first to be super strong. Extend thru the balls of your foot that is going up. Straight up and strong. The second leg which is the bouncer ( haha ) to be suspended three quarters up to the top when you “bounce” the leg off the floor before you bring it together with the top leg.
