Getting back to the regular classes was not as hard as I thought. The long break was good. The flu break was probably even better.
Today’s class was good. Feels good. Saw most of the familiar smiling faces. I was again back to usual almost late for class fare and ended up right in front of the class again. I am still gingering not trying to over stress the body ( still got me a throaty cough ) and thus gleefully avoided some of the inversions.
Just elated to be back to practice yoga. Despite a cough ( with phlegm ), heavy traffic condition and a heavy rain, I sneaked off to a yoga class yesterday. That is the power of the mind. When you have made up your mind what you want to do, you just have to do it.
As I go through the practice, I was humbled and reminded yet again by the importance of one’s breath during practice. Without breath, ( I was breathing half the time through my mouth… WRONG!! ) the flow and movement through the Power Yoga was in “stutters”. Plus the body strength used was much more than what usually was needed.

I guessed my body just had had it. It revolted starting on Monday with a violent cold, runny nose that eventually depleted my home of tissue paper or anything that I can drip on… ( eeks… ) On Tuesday, the runny nose “evolved” into a nasty cough. But I am thankful that it did not bring about a sore throat. Coughs and a little stuffy nose surely can’t kill anyone right? So I still pushed on, working until late at night ( but I did take a break from Yoga as I know my runny nose, coughing definitely will do nobody any good… but my dog just have to bear with me though…
)
