I have been down with cough and cold, yet again. I think it was a flu… It started on Monday with a bad cough and then on Tuesday it was a full fledged running nose and probably a fever as I was feeling extremely cold and I could feel the aching in the bones.
And yet again, I was considering to go for yoga. I thought maybe it can help cure or get rid of the coughing or the running nose. Maybe even go try out a new teacher’s hot class… But the thought of dripping nose mucus and incessant coughing did not appeal to me and I knew if I went, I would probably spread the virus to half the class. Not quite nice…
Anyway, spent the whole day sleeping yesterday. Felt like a pig. Eat and sleep and cough and sneezing with mucus… eeeeks!
I am just thankful that I did not attempt to go yoga… otherwise I probably will get more sick… my body probably protesting and this is the way it is trying to get some rest.
My take about yoga is that if you are feeling not well and do not feel like going, then skip the yoga lesson. Take a good rest instead. Missing one lesson does not kill you… but if you are sick and you do not take care, that might kill ya…. Furthermore if the sickness is contagious, stay home for the sake of others!
PS. I hope to go for yoga today… feeling much better… the cough has reduced and the running nose seems to be more subdued…

Today still gungho and went for class. No major incident until the last pose… uncontrolled coughing that had me running out of the yoga studio…
