5 seconds finally… I am ecstatic! Mere 5 seconds but felt like an eternity… rolling a bit on the head and elbows, wobbling and most likely not very straight… but yet I get the feeling of balancing. And now I know what Shirley has been telling me about being in headstand… weight is definitely on the head and elbows and you can subtly adjust the weight from head to elbow and vice versa. It’s really a pose where I need to balance, shifting weight back and forth from head and elbows, keeping my legs engaged enough, tuck in the tail bone, core engaged ( <- its hard... but the more I suck the tummy in, I feel that I am more in control of the balancing... as heebs says "Bandhaaas" ).... so many things to take care... no wonder yoga is not only physical but very much a mental exercise as well! Body and mind must be in "sync"!
More practice tomorrow before class. I think the frequent practice probably helped me get used to headstand more and more. The fear of falling is not so bad now but it is still there... trying to rear its head everytime I do headstand. But it is only a matter of time I conquer this fear and do my headstand in the middle of the room. It's very soon... I can feel it... hehe...
My vegetarian journey has been totally "destroyed" when I binged out at dinner yesterday. An associate treated a good meal at a Japanese bbq restaurant.... oh boy... It's hard not to eat in such situation... Anyway, what did I eat? Beef tongue ( it's really good... ), melt in the mouth beef ( I think I almost ate one cow... i suspect it was wagu beef slices and cubes ), foie gras ( goose liver cooked with butter on a silver tray... after cooking, so much oil came out of the foie gras that they were floating in pure liquid oil - definitely "bad" for health ), slices of lamb ( absolutely tender and no "lamb" smell ), prawns, squids, scallops ( this is good stuff... fresh scallops )...
Seriously... I am turning into a cow...
Help!
I need to go on a detox....
Serious... and plenty of power yoga....and ashtanga yoga!
OM~
EDIT : Ok, now I am feeling sick... I did not know that the way they made foie gras... this is pretty sickening. I am definitely off foie gras for life. Though I am not a bird person ( yeah, don't really fancy them... ), the way they made foie gras is terrible and cruel. Read about this here.

I’m currently struggling at this pose too.. Hopefully will conquer it soon like what you did!
Happy practice
I still cannot.. my core still do not have enough strength..
Hey! You go girl! & don’t forget the ulna wrist points, the outer part of the wrist (little finger side), press them down. & when you’re up, breathe into the serratus anterior. It will help you to stay up…
Janice and keeyit, don’t give up! Slowly but surely you can also master this pose! One day!
Where’s serratus anterior? must show me when you are back in town, wonderkid!
