Being petite, at only a mere 1.52 meter tall and having short arms, I find that I am at a disadvantage when I do certain poses or asanas. Each person is anatomically different and hence one pose may be easy for you and another pose, totally impossible to do.

Some teachers however say that it shouldn’t matter. Perhaps… But not when you do not have the strength or flexibility yet to overcome the various difficulty in these poses. Been bad… have not gone for any yoga class for an amazing 5 days… Body felt constricted. Especially after yesterday fiasco of sitting for almost 14 hours of marathon on the PC ( don’t ask me what I am doing… but it sure left me with sore ears and a much flat bum as well as some serious wrist sore )

Now every move I make seems to invoke some noise from my joints… creaking and popping…especially the neck area. Like a knotted piece of string… talking about knots…

But now that’s over, I can get back to my other life - yoga.

Finally…. I feel a tinge of hope that I am getting there for forearm balance. As usual I do need a wall in front of me. I need that sense of security that I am not going to fall. Seems that the older you are, the more fear you build up.

Some Pincha Mayusara tips that may help :

1. Setting up. Measure the distance between your elbows by holding your right elbow with the left hand and left elbow with your right hand while in all fours.

Yep… the Universe works in mysterious and marvellous way…

A few months back, I was raring to go for Desiree Rumbaugh Anusara Yoga Immersion in KL as I love her energy and her passion for helping all her students. Her previous workshops that I attended made a difference in my practice! Thus a few of us had booked for workshop places through a friend back in September. But the strange thing was that the person in charge whom we have emailed many times, did not respond to the emails of which we kept asking when and how do we pay… anyway, we though maybe he was busy and had no time to reply….
