Last weekend was Andrey Lappan’s workshop at the studio. He is the founder of another form of yoga called Universal Yoga. Based on the feedback from several yogis who went, his workshops had a lot of theory, pranayama ( super tough I heard ) and some asanas. And then, there were the shoulder stretches which I heard…
Though I did not attend, I got a chance to do his shoulder stretch during one of Heebs’ class when he introduced it.
I heard it was painful, torturous and yet extremely GOOD shoulder stretches.
After Thursday’s class, my body was reacting in muscle aches again. I thought I will never feel that again especially back then when I was very ‘guai’ ( chinese for good ) and go for yogadaily without fail.
Age catching up with me? I don’t know. But I rested two days ( excuses… excuses… ahem <:P)

Oh yeah…
I am finally going to the country which I always wanted to go : United States of America.
The funny thing is that I have been to many countries but never to the US. I am quite a fan of US stuff… for example, I love US shows like Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, American Idol ( especially the auditions for quick laughs ), Heroes ( oooo… season 2 FINALLY coming to Singapore ), Grey’s Anatomy ( my all time favourite ), Gilmore Girls, Miami Ink, The Amazing Race, Hollywood movies, American Eagle ( love their stuff… ), Threadless ( ooo… if you are a big fan of unique t shirts, you have to check this out… now i only wear tshirts from there… haha… ), love Benefit’s stuff ( great makeup stuff )
15 days into the new year and still my old habits are still kicking…
What’s worst, still skipping yoga classes.
I missed Jan first week’s Wednesday’s class because I was late. Then on the same week’s Thursday, another missed class due to unforseen dinner appointment ( which resulted in a major MAJOR sinful calorie laden dinner ). Then more food over that weekends.
Yikes.
Then last week, after I began my new determined resolution by going for Mon, Tue and Wed classes without fail…. I fell sick…
Bummer.
This is not my resolution.
I repeat, this is not my new year resolution.
This is what I MUST achieve in 2008 and beyond. They have to be achieved. And I have disclosed them to the world! *GASP*
1. Master my headstand. Enuff said. ![]()
Steps :
Like what most yoga teachers will tell you… Practice, practice, practice!
2. Lead a healthy life
Steps :
Stop eating potato chips and snacks. Stop eating after 8pm. Eat much less fried food. Drink more water, less coffee. Go for more yoga classes. Eat less sweet stuff like dougnuts, chocolates, ice cream, cakes and muffins. Eat hearty breakfast and very light dinner. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Take my supplements regularly.
