Incredible as it seems, sometimes when one surrender, one can gain more instead. This is often heard in an old chinese saying.

When you become too stubborn and unyielding, things often turn even more against you. However, when you are able to surrender and to go with the flow, things always turn out somehow for the better eventually.

Heebs has this particular flow which he is having us do pretty a lot this few weeks. It is what he calls the offering yoga flow (i think). I love the flow as it is simple, graceful and yet symbolic. When you do the flow, you are offering to something bigger than you ( maybe it’s the universe, your god or the divine ).

1.Stand with feet together with hands in namaste.
2.Breathe in and raise your hands slowly upwards with palms facing towards you. ( in the usual sun salutations, the palms of the hands are usually facing each other when raising ) This is like signifying a pair of hands with palms cupped and offering… so when you raise up, it is like you are offering, opening…
3. Then close your palms and move hands downwards, forming a namaste… flowing with the namaste hands as you bend down and touch the floor with your palms.
4. Breathe in, raise your head, and lengthen your body with your palms still on the floor. Breathe out and then forward bend.
5. Walk back to plank. Then lower the knees, chest and chin.
6. Rest your whole body down. Lower head to the floor with forehead touching the floor and your hands stretch out in front with the palms facing upwards. Keep your two big toes touching. Then breathe in and lift your head, arms and legs.
7. Then move your hands beside your chest and move into upward dog.
8. Move back into downward dog.
9. Then walk in small steps towards your hands until you are in a forward bend.
10. Then lift your head and lengthen your body while breathing in. And then back into the forward bend when you breathe out.
11. Finally, palms facing towards you, raise hands up and finally end with the namaste.
