Christmas is celebrated everywhere ( well, almost I believe )… The reason why Christmas is so celebrated I guess is because of the fact that retailers love Christmas.

It means that people have to go out to shop and buy presents! And this means more $$$ for the merchants. Thus you can see all the shopping malls decked out in Christmas cheery and an almost unbelievable number sales from every shop. And boy, the number of people out to shop is really almost scary… trying to get from point A to point B is almost like fighting through war zone, you can’t take one step without having to stop the next. It’s a chore just to get to the other place…

To me Christmas signals that the year is coming to another end. 2008 comes and goes all in a blink of an eye. Sometimes it scares me that time goes without you ever noticing and yet you accomplished nothing. During the last workshop with Patrick, he wanted us to think about what we have accomplished in 2008, and seriously I could not think of any during the short time. At that time I was thinking of bigger things like maybe becoming super successful, or won some prestigious award or finally ascending Mount Everest, yada yada….

But then does it really matter? Now that I think about it, I did accomplished some things even though they may seem trivial… I have my health, delayed aging ( thankfully on the face ) and my closest family and friends, all healthy. Roof over my head, checked! Travel to the US, checked! Twice some more! Headstand, checked! ( near the wall, but hey, it’s a start and I can stay for 1 minute now… )

So what did you accomplished in 2008?
