A few months back, I had bought some passion fruits that were on sale. Super cheap, super tangy and deliciously fragrant. But too many and I was figuring out how to get rid of it and voila… as luck or Google has it, I got a solution of making Passion fruit curd. It was super yummy and I had the curd with toast every morning until the whole bottle was finished. Loved the delicious fragrant and the yummy tangy yet rich buttery curd on my toast.
I got this silly obsession of making ramen eggs… I do have a particular fondness of eggs… I love omelettes, hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs, egg in porridge, tea leaf eggs, century egg, salted egg, sunny side egg, steamed egg, chawanmushi… and more recently ramen eggs!
What are ramen eggs?
These are oh-so-yummy eggs that beat every kind of eggs hands down – well almost… ( hmmm, maybe not sunny side eggs… ) These eggs are hard boiled eggs with a soft centred ( yes, the yolks are still creamy! ) and a seasoned egg white. They taste best when served with ramen.
Another fellow yogi is flying back to her hometown. We had another yogi farewell party.
It was very fun and we got together to do stuff we had never done before outside of yoga. One of the yogi is from Thai and he made a few really yummy Thai dishes that everyone proclaimed that they were even better than Thai restaurants’. A few of us, the domesticated few, decided to lend a few “hands and legs”. Soon we were helping to chop meat ( some fantastic action here with fast and furious chops ), cut mangoes, mixing peanut sauce etc.

How many days has it being since I become vegetarian? I really lost count…
Ok, I admit it. I took a little meat here and there. Had another piece of fish cake. And a fish burger. The day before, I ate chicken rice.
But I also resisted 6 pieces of tempting chicken nuggets. Sometimes when you are outside, it is very hard not to eat meat at food stalls and fast food joints. Like yesterday, I was staring at the McDonald‘s menu. I think there is no full meal that is vegetarian. Sure you can eat the fries, the side salad, desserts ( apple pie, ice cream, apple dips ) but why no veggie burger? Burger King is no better either. Maybe you can eat the onion rings.
Yesterday was a pig out day for me at the Melt restaurant ( Oriental Hotel). Food is not bad but the sad thing is that I have a blocked nose and I practically cannot taste… everything taste the same to me… bland… I could only enjoy the texture of the food. Poor me, I had to get my friends to tell me how the food taste!
Here are some photos I took from Melt :
