Yes, after months of inactivity, I think it is high time I have another revamp.

And it is high time I gotten back into my yoga groove… missing yoga… I love the joyful feeling and peaceful warmth within after every session of yoga…. a serene sense of content and satisfaction. Plus it really gives me a lot of confidence then… now that I have stopped for more than 1 year, I lost the self confidence some what and the strength mentally and physically.

Expect more changes to the blog…. experimenting with this cool theme called Weaver!

Meanwhile, time for some headstand action… ciao!

This time in Atlanta, Georgia. The flight to get here was horrendously long and tiring. Over 18 hours on the plane is no fun. Especially when the plane’s movie selection is nothing to crow about.

Movies I watched :
1. August Rush
Nice touching story line although not too believable. Ending is great plus a handsome looking lead actor really helped too (Jonathan Rhys Meyers).

2. Enchanted
Cutesy storyline. It has some funny moments especially with Pip, the chipmunk – sent me chuckling a few times. Can watch when you are feeling bored. I had hoped Patrick Dempsey will be “Mc Dreamy” here but not for me here…

3. Alvin and the Chipmunks
Eek. Bleh. I am a fan of animation and this one does not work for me at all.

4. Juno
This is a good movie that I enjoyed. I really like the main character smart talking Juno. Smart girl, not your typical bimbo stereotype but rather an intelligent girl who got pregnant. In spite of the trouble she is in, she is sensible enough to make decision about her life. I can definitely watch the movie again.

Hopefully when I fly back, I get a better selection of movies.

Been sinfully shopping. On the first day, I have already charged over US$200 and had to get another luggage bag – how’s that for size. Help!

Been eating and eating too… and the food here in US is quite unhealthy – high in fats and totally salty (now i know… must ask for the salad dressing at the side!). Beef, steak, shrimps, lobster, shrimp, crab, steak, potatoes, potatoes, bread, shrimp, crab, gravy, mashed, fries…. help! And the portions are just enormous!

OM~

Today’s class was very interesting. Heebs usually the “not so much talking” yoga teacher talked quite a fair bit about this form of yoga called the Tibetan Five Rites. It was written somewhere that this is the true origin of yoga ( since this tibetan monks pretty much kept to themselves ) is – this Tibetan Yoga? I am no history buff but if these are good exercises that can help one stay strong and healthy, I’d say let’s give them a try!

This is a series of 5 exercises (a few are yoga poses) that Tibet monks do every day to keep themselves healthy and energized. The 5 dynamic exercises include :
1. Whirling ( just stand with arms out the turn in circles clockwise – like sufi )
2. Leg raises ( lie down on back and lift head and straight legs up )
3. Camel pose ( kneel and do back bends several times )
4. Tabletop pose
5. Down dog, cobra and then up dog ( repeat )

I think I shall start trying this out soon… need more energy!

If you have tried it, do share your experience with me by commenting on this post. I am sure many will be curious to know.
