One of my favorite pose is Half Moon (Ardha Chandrasanasee pose here). It looks deceptively simple… anyone who sees this pose for the first time probably won’t believe how difficult it is to do. I know I was duped when I saw someone doing this pose.

This is one pose that I find pretty empowering and yet graceful at the same time.

It’s amazing and most interesting to note how one person can get attached to a yoga pose.

Usually most people enjoy yoga poses they can do well and they want to do them. Some of my favorites include Half Moon ( Ardha Chandrasana ), One-Legged King Pigeon Pose ( Eka Pada Rajakapotasana ), Full Side Plank ( Vasisthasana ), Wheel (Urdhva Dhanurasana)…I love them because I can do them and with some ease. They make me feel good!

I have been watching Grey’s Anatomy and one phrase struck with me when the Hospital Chief Webber said this to a man who was stuck and hurt in an ambulance in an accident :

“Fear is good. When you have fear, it means that you have something to lose…”

I did not think of it that way. But it’s true. When you have fear, whether is it fear of losing, fear of heights, fear of dying etc. it means that you have something good and you are afraid of losing…

Christmas is celebrated everywhere ( well, almost I believe )… The reason why Christmas is so celebrated I guess is because of the fact that retailers love Christmas.

It means that people have to go out to shop and buy presents! And this means more $$$ for the merchants. Thus you can see all the shopping malls decked out in Christmas cheery and an almost unbelievable number sales from every shop. And boy, the number of people out to shop is really almost scary… trying to get from point A to point B is almost like fighting through war zone, you can’t take one step without having to stop the next. It’s a chore just to get to the other place…
