It’s Set… I Am Conquering My Second Mountain, Mt Ophir!
More leg cramps ahead!
But just thinking about the final ascent to the top of the mountain and the final view of the mountain, I think it’ll all be worth it… cramps, leeches, centipedes or what! But first, really need to start training more! Here’s a start, by starting to jog/walk/sprint to my yoga classes…heheh…
I just received some amazing photos of some kids doing yoga… on a pole! Believe me, my jaws dropped… first thing that came to mind? “But doesn’t it hurt? BAD?”

I stayed up the entire night to watch this the other night in support of the Singapore team!

It’s amazing how these yogis can do all these… They must be pretty disciplined! Now I am inspired to practice for my Scorpion handstand even more!
The winner of the Men’s team is Dev representing Singapore. He is originally from Indian but he has surely done Singapore proud!

This sentence sets me thinking. Whatever we are doing, are we thinkingly doing or thoughtfully doing?
Is there a difference?
What is thinkingly doing?
What is thoughtfully doing?
Based on the book “A “Class” After A Class” by Prashant Iyengar, it explains that thinkingly doing as being in the process of thinking and doing at the same time. It is like going into a triangle pose for instance. As you move into the pose, you think. You think how are you moving into the pose, you think this hand in front, this leg is in front, straighten both legs, tuck your tailbone, head look up, hand open bright and straight up. So this is thinkingly doing.

One of my favorite pose is Half Moon (Ardha Chandrasana – see pose here). It looks deceptively simple… anyone who sees this pose for the first time probably won’t believe how difficult it is to do. I know I was duped when I saw someone doing this pose.
This is one pose that I find pretty empowering and yet graceful at the same time.
Finally, after almost a year since I took the basic rock climbing class, I got a chance to be “back with the wall”. Yesterday was a day to start panicking about what did I learn during my basic rock climbing class. There I was, scratching my head over the terms used, the equipment used and how to tie the infamous double 8 knot and then of course, how to belay someone. It’s incredible how one can forget everything so fast when you don’t use it!
It was almost embarrassing to say I am level 1 climber. Bah! *I cower in shame… *
